The Arts – Grade 6
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The grade 6 art course continues to build on ideas and techniques from grade 5 art. Students will begin to look at and practise more complex art procedures.
1 – Dance
2 – Drama
3 – Music
4 – Visual Arts
Incorporate the use of props and materials into dance pieces they create. Engage actively in drama exploration and role play, with a focus on identifying and examining a range of issues, themes, and ideas from a variety of fiction and non-fiction sources and diverse communities, times, and places. Demonstrate an understanding of standard and other types of musical notation through performance and composition. Use elements of design in art works to communicate ideas, messages, and understandings.
