The Arts – Grade 3
COURSE DESCRIPTION
The grade 3 art course builds on foundations laid in grade 2 art. Students will develop or extend their understanding of the following concepts through participation in various artistic experiences.
1 – Dance
2 – Drama
3 – Music
4 – Visual Arts
Demonstrate how dance elements can be used to create and expand the movement vocabulary within different sections of a larger pattern. engage in dramatic play and role play, with a focus on exploring themes, ideas, characters, and issues from imagination or in stories from diverse communities, times, and places. Demonstrate an understanding of composition, using principles of design to create narrative artworks or artworks on a theme or topic.
